Air-Fryer Chicken Breasts & Asparagus (Recipe)
Ingredients
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut in half lengtwise to create 4 chicken breasts
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (I use Kasandrinos)
1 pound (450g) asparagus, trimmed
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp chili powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
¼ tsp pepper
Instructions
To make the air fryer chicken breasts: Pat the chicken breast with a paper towel to dry. Add them to a shallow plate.
In a small bowl, combine onion powder, paprika, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Season chicken breast generously with the spice mixture. Set aside while you prepare the asparagus.
Place chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer. Air fry at 380°F for 10 minutes, then flip and air fry for an additional 5-6 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F,
In the meantime, arrange the asparagus on a shallow plate. Combine with garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
After 10 minutes, flip the chicken thighs and add the asparagus to the air fryer basket. Continue to cook for 7-8 more minutes until chicken thighs are no longer pink and the internal temperature reaches 165ºF (74ºC).
Sprinkle with parsley and red chili pepper flakes, and serve the air fryer chicken thighs and asparagus immediately, with lemon slices on the side.
Enjoy!!!
